I didn’t set out to become an inventor. I’m a healthcare professional, a mother, and someone who, like most parents, spends a lot of time thinking about how to keep my kids safe.

Over the years, I kept seeing tragic stories about families trapped in submerged vehicles. They were rare, but they were haunting. I’d picture my own children in the back seat and wonder: What would I do?  

And more importantly: Why isn’t there something already built into the car to help?

That question stayed with me. It followed me through school drop-offs, late-night drives, and quiet moments when I imagined the unimaginable. Eventually, I stopped waiting for someone else to solve it—and started working on a solution myself.

After months of research, sketches, and persistence, I was awarded a patent for a new kind of headrest: one that doesn’t just support your neck, but helps you escape in an emergency.

OMNIPAR is a headrest designed to protect your family when the unthinkable happens.  

I designed it to be part of the car from the start, not an accessory you have to remember or reach for. Because in a real emergency, seconds matter. And so does peace of mind.

I may not come from the automotive world, but I approached this the way I approach patient care:

Identify the problem. Propose the solution. Make it real. Create hope. Change a life.

OMNIPAR is now patented and ready to license. My hope is that it finds its way into vehicles everywhere, so that no parent ever has to wonder “what if?” without knowing there’s something built in to help.
